Kingstown College has announced Ireland’s first QQI accredited Life Coaching Course for practitioners who work with victims of abuse. The programme is being facilitated by Kingstown College Director, psychologist and leadership coach, Paula King and Cassie Moore, Life Coach and Author of the bestselling autobiography ‘Did You Hear Me Crying’.
Cassie, who suffered abuse at the hands of her stepfather and mother, as well as later on in adulthood, has collaborated with Kingstown College Director Paula King to devise a unique and innovative programme specifically for practitioners dealing with abuse victims based on Life Coaching.
“Life Coaching has given me the tools to take control of my life and move forward in such a beautiful positive way. I learnt so much about myself and what I was capable of.”
“A number of national and international campaigns are currently taking place to help raise awareness about domestic violence against women and to promote the different services currently available to both the practitioners and victims. One in five Irish women experience domestic violence during their lifetime, and an estimated 213,000 women live with severe abuse from their boyfriends, husbands and partners.
We are confident this first of its kind 6 day programme will greatly equip practitioners with the specific life coaching tools and techniques to deal with both the trauma of abuse while also empowering victims with the necessary skills to take the next step forward away from their difficult past.”
The first programme will take place in early 2014 and further information can be found here
