This course is designed to equip the learner with the knowledge and skills underpinning the role of the professional coach to enable them to operate independently to high professional and ethical standards within a life or workplace coaching context.

About the Course

On this course you will discover

  • how coaching impacts successful people and organisations
  • why progressive managers are adopting a coaching style of leadership
  • the difference between coaching and other interventions such as psychotherapy and counselling
  • how to manage a coaching session, including planning and evaluation
  • the contractual aspects of coaching, including confidentiality, practical arrangements and responsibilities
  • effective coaching models such as the GROW Model and the ROSE Model (developed by Course Director Paula King)
  • how to advocate opportunities for ongoing self-discovery for the client
  • the professional associations which set best practice for Coaching and how to progress to accreditation
  • how to establish and maintain high professional standards, and seek opportunities for professional development

Course Fee: EUR 1,490
Optional Payment Plan – Deposit of of EUR 490, plus four monthly payments of EUR 250.

Opportunity for Further Study

Students may progress to study an internationally accredited Diploma in Coaching with Kingstown College.

Successful completion of this course earns an exemption from three of the six modules required for the Advanced Diploma in Personal, Leadership and Executive Coaching or the Advanced Diploma in Mental Health and Wellbeing Coaching. A special course fee is available for students who wish to progress their studies using this path.

These courses are designed for people opening a private practice, coaches who wish to work within an organisation, progressive managers adding coaching models to their leadership style and for coaches progressing to international accreditation with ICF and EMCC (recognised at 160 training hours).
