The aim of the 5-day Training and Development Special Purpose Award programme is to enable participants to develop the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence to undertake training activities. The programme encompasses the development of competencies that will enable students to identify and assess training needs, and to develop, plan, organise, deliver and evaluate relevant training activities.

The Kingstown College Certificate in Training Need Identification and Design course is a component award which makes up Module 01 of the new QQI Level 6 Training and Development Special Purpose Award. It has replaced the old FETAC Level 6 Train the Trainer course since January 2015.

Certificate in Training Need Identification and Design course is specifically designed to enable participants to develop the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence to identify and analyse training needs, and to plan, design and develop relevant training interventions.

The Kingstown College Certificate in Training Delivery and Evaluation course is a component award which makes Module 02 of the new QQI Level 6 Training and Development Special Purpose Award. It has replaced the old Train the Trainer course since January 2015.

The course is specifically designed to enable participants to develop the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver and evaluate training activities pertinent to those responsible for the training of others in organisations.
